General Objetives
This project aims to build a living bridge between rural textile communities across Latin America — from the Andes to Patagonia — and China. Together, we co-create innovative pathways that preserve ancestral craftsmanship while promoting environmentally sustainable textile practices for the future.
Specific Objetives

Map and document ancestral knowledge and sustainable textile practices in selected rural communities in Latin America and China.

Design and conduct bilateral virtual workshops on innovation in natural fibers and sustainable techniques, involving artisans, scientists, and specialists.

Co-develop best practices for textile production that integrate ancestral techniques and technological advances to improve environmental and social sustainability.

Promote the creation of an intercultural South-South cooperation network that fosters fair trade, recognition of knowledge, and sustainable development in the rural textile sector.
Expected Result
The creation of an intercultural network that connects the ancestral textile knowledge of rural communities in China and Argentina with contemporary scientific and technological approaches, fostering innovative, resilient, and culturally sensitive solutions for sustainable textile development.
