Hecho x Nosotros is a non-profit NGO with consultative status within the United Nations. We work to promote sustainability in the fashion world, with a strict focus on research and educational projects to better understand the industry and its problems; and find comprehensive solutions to create a sustainable paradigm within the fashion industry.
Our three areas of work are: local development especially in rural Andean communities; value chain and market development of camelid fibres; and progress in a sustainable textile industry.
We advocate, promote, educate and are committed to influencing national, regional and international leaders at the highest levels - to bring the fashion industry's controversies into the spotlight and, eventually, to work together for a sustainable future.
My diverse international team works to create intellectual content and materials focused on sustainability and aimed at all corners of the market, including designers, producers, consumers, leaders, educators and geographically isolated artisans. At the local level, we are committed to the social and economic advancement of Latin American artisans and natural fiber producers through supply chain transparency, sustainable business development, and far-reaching industrial activism. Since its inception, Hecho x Nosotros has conducted training workshops and educational programs for local artisans throughout the Andean region, as well as research programs, seminars, workshops and webinars on sustainable fashion.
