September 17, 2020 - Hecho x Nosotros had the privilege of attending the United Nations opening plenary on the theme of “The Future We Want, The United Nations We Need,” here we discussed harnessing ideas, strengthening networks, and the capabilities of diverse governments, businesses, and civil society groups. We explored new tools, platforms, and approaches to address 21st-century threats, challenges, and opportunities. The UN speaker's presentations centered around the growing roles of women, civil society organizations, and businesses, all of whom have their voices amplified through modern forms of communication technology. Each of these sects offers new and exciting opportunities for effective peacebuilding and reform for a better future. We must continue to adapt, innovate, and evolve to meet the challenges of the 21st century, together we are Changemakers, together we will build a better future.
