Impact

Generating social impact through and on artisans, producers, cooperatives and SMEs. Through the development of good management, design and communication practices that contribute to job creation and therefore contribute to the growth of the camelid fibre industry.

Working with artisans

  • In the past ten years we have impacted the lives of thousands of artisans through our ability to generate work; we have taught about modern design and sustainable production, as well as integrating them into the international fashion market.

  • We have increased the capacity of 27 fiber producers and 364 artisan groups, counting 3,023 people and their families.

  • We have developed a business network of almost 7,500 artisans that meet market demand in terms of volume and quality standards, integrating them into the global market and offering more economic opportunities.

  • In 2,017, under Fair Trade practices, we have invested $100,000 in Andean communities, buying 4,000 products made from 800 kg of fiber.

Involving industry

  • In collaboration with fashion schools, we model the next generation of designers, and work directly with internationally recognized designers.

  • 1,500 design students trained in sustainable fashion.

  • Collaboration with 21 universities and 200+ organizations in the sustainable development of the industry.

  • Organization of 30 seminars with international designers and craftsmen in five countries.

Changing the paradigm

  • We have been spreading our message of change regionally and internationally. We aim to inform the public about the power of challenges, but also the potential solutions available to us.

  • We obtained consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), a very important step that allows us to share our knowledge with them who will shape the industry in the future.

  • We collaborate with several international agencies (UN) such as UNIDO, UNCTAD, ECLAC, CYTED, WTO, and we are members of the NGO Major Group, Together2030 and several other international collaboration platforms.
